Dr Kilian Gust is Urologist and Head of the Urothelial Cancer Trial Unit, Department of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria.
He received his medical degree from the University of Ulm, Germany, where he subsequently specialized in urology at the university’s Department of Urology. He followed this with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Vancouver Prostate Center in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and further specialization in urology at the University of Frankfurt, Germany. He completed his European Board of Urology (EBU) examination in Urology in 2015 and was appointed a Fellow of the EBU (FEBU). His research focus is primarily in the field of bladder cancer and involves basic research in defining the role of Notch signaling and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 3 as a therapeutic target; since 2012 he has taken part in more than 25 clinical trials as sub- or Principal Investigator.
Dr Gust is recognized as author or co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, is a member of several advisory boards, and acts as a reviewer for more than 30 peer-reviewed medical journals.
