Dr Rosario García Campelo, MD, is medical oncologist at A Coruña University Hospital since 2003. She obtained her medical degree in 1996 at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and subsequently completed her training in medical oncology in the University Hospital of A Coruña, Spain. She completed her training as a visiting researcher at the laboratory of Molecular Biology of the Germa Hospital Trias i Pujol (Barcelona, Spain), as well as in Moffit Cancer Center (Tampa, Florida). Currently, she is the Head of Medical Oncology Unit in the University Hospital of A Coruña, Spain.
She is a member of the Board of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group, as well as of different scientific societies.
Her current research focuses on the treatment of chest tumors, with special interest in novel therapies against lung cancer, and clinical/translational research, with active participation in national and international clinical trials.
