Professor Nicolas Mottet is Professor of Surgery at University Jean Monnet in Saint-Etienne, France. He is board certified in surgery, urology, and medical oncology.
He is chairman of the European Association of Urology (EAU) Working Group on Prostate Cancer Guidelines, board member of the Urology Group for the French Anti-Cancer Centre Federation, and member of the Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) prostate and bladder cancer guidelines group. He is the former coordinator of the Testis and Penile Cancer Subgroup of the French Urological Association (AFU; 2000–2008).
Professor Mottet has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and made numerous presentations and lectures; he is member of the editorial board of European Urology (the official journal of the EAU) and a reviewer of more than a dozen high-profile journals including The New England Journal of Medicine. He sits on the scientific advisory board of several multinational pharmaceutical companies, has coordinated or participated in more than 40 clinical trials, and received several national grants.
He is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).
